Job Seekers - Whether you need advice on developing your CV, salary rates for your industry, career guidance, or simply looking for a career move, we can help.
Developing Your CV - Remember many people are in the market looking for a job. Limit your CV to 4 pages and any covering letter to 1 or 2 pages and focus on your successes.

Before developing your CV it is useful to know exactly what you wish to achieve. A great way to do this is to ask yourself the following key questions:

  1. What are your major contributions or achievements during the last 3 to 5 years? What did you make happen?
  2. What personal, intellectual, managerial or  other attributes, qualities or strengths do you possess, that enabled you to achieve the things you described in 1 above?
  3. Again, reflecting on 1 above, what weaknesses, attributes or limitations have distracted you from realising greater contributions than those described above?
  4. Do you see yourself as a leader or a follower, loner or a team player? If you are a leader, what is your management style: democratic; autocratic; participative; consensus driven or situational?
  5. What motivates you: power; money; recognition? what else?
  6. What are your personal aspirations for the next 2 to 3, 5 to 10 years i.e. your own strategic plan. What do you want to achieve?
  7. Are you a "corporate animal" or a "small businessman"?
What our clients say:

This correspondence is to thank you sincerely for the professional and valuable assisatance you provided us, in identifying our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Without a shadow of a doubt, the work performed was outstanding. As a result of your work, GAPbuster  Worldwide was left with a relatively simple task, in interviewing  only exceptional candidates. Given this, it is clear that your methods really do hit the mark.

I would like to thank you for your clear, concise and timely communication  style. Not  once  did I ever feel that progress was not being made, nor did I ever lag in confidence that you would deliver. In all the exercise was conducted over a relatively short time frame, especially when you consider the seniority and confidentiality of the role.

Thanks once again Ziggy , for a job well done. You can be sure that we will be in touch again when in need.

Yours sincerely
Marcello Martino, COO , GAPbuster Worldwide,  Melbourne
